8051410 microcontroller drifter buoy project help

I am a engineering student currently in my final year. We are doing a project on 8051 microcontroller (version 410). The project employs a gps to know the location of the buoy in the sea.

So we have to design c code for this buoy to accurately know the position of this buoy in the sea using gps it keeps moving in the sea due to the surface currents. We have to design this code using the various peripherals of 8051410 microcontroller. Please help me.
