89c51 download problem

I have a P89C51RD2xx controller and I am using KEIL simulator to create a HEX file. I'm using Flash Magic to download it. I designed a ckt on bread board using MAX232 and using serial connections pin 2,3 & 5 to communicate with my hardware but this is not responding.

Is it the case that we can not use the controller on bread board?
or something else?
