Help lighting up aaLED with my Pickit2 programmer and 16F690

by Willie
(Middelburg South Africa)

I,m looking for a simple basic program to light up a LED with my Pickit2 programmer. 16F690. I've tried quite a few programs but none seems to work.
Can anyone help please! (I'm still a beginner).

Thank you

How do you want to tell the pic to turn on the LED,
Switch,button,photo cell, microphone etc??
When you have decided what is to turn it on, then all you need to do is to connect a Led to a port pin set up as an output, and with the Led correctly polarised (ie.anode towards the port pin), tun on the relative output port.
Any basic program will let you do this.
Write again if you still have query.
Keep at it, patience wins!
