This PIC programmer is all you need to program
any PIC microcontroller using its ICSP interface.

This is a brand new design (based on AN589) which gives you ICSP connections to reliably program any PIC Microcontroller using the ICSP interface.

Dust off that parallel port
====================
It connects to your parallel port and it's the ideal way to use that old parallel port connection for something useful. Just leave a parallel cable on your machine and power up the PIC programmer and it's always ready for the next code download.

Use the RS232 for code operation
===========================
It means you can still use the RS232 interface and not have to swap over the interface for debugging serial code.

Note: It has a built in clock termination meaning that it will reliably work over the full length parallel port cable (some don't!).

PIC Programmer Features

ICSP output using 0.1" molex connecor.
Built in transmission line termination (reliable PGC).
So it works over 6ft parallel cable.
Uses LM317 regulator you can change the Vpp programming voltage by changing the resistors (if the PIC ICSP specification changes).
Uses standard MicroChip programming circuit AN589.
Generates ICSP signals (all you need for PIC microcontrollers).
Tristates itself automatically (no need to unplug).
Saves the hassle - fully debugged and tested.
Can program any PIC chip supported by ICPROG.
